HD100 as a video switch?

I currently use my server as a video switch for SageTV all controlled by ATI Remote Wonder and Girder.

Some of the time I use my 32" 4:3 CRT HDTV at 720P via DVI and other times I use my Mitsubishi HC4900 Projector on my 92" 16:10 screen at 1080P via DVI to HDMI. I am always using SPIDIF out to my Receiver.

Ideally I would physically connect both the HDMI and the Component Video Cables at the same time...I understand that they can not both be active at the same time. I would modify my girder scripts to automatically change all the settings if possible.

So My Questions:

1. Can both the HDMI and Component Cables be physically connected at the same time without causing problems - ONLY ONE active at a time?

2. Are there a set of remote control buttons I can teach girder / USB UIRT for switching outputs - ( Component / HDMI), Display Aspect Ratios(4:3 / 16:10 ), and Resolution( 720P / 1080P).

Thanks,
John

I had mine like that for a while, and I think they're actually both active at the same time.

For all intents and purposes, the output changing can't be automated (assuming they're not both active at the same time), you basically have to reboot the extender to pick a different output.

Resolutions or Aspect Ratios, those are easy, there are dedicated buttons on the remote to toggle aspect ratios and resolutions, I don't think there are dedicated commands for specific resolutions or aspect ratios.
