I am happy for you guys and all but this sucks. I am in canada, a mere 2500 miles away from the source and over a week and the USPS site still shows the same status is has shown since March 4th:

Your item left the United States from LOS ANGELES at 5:35 AM on March 4, 2008

How can it get delivered to Greece and Australia faster than Canada!!

Well, enjoy your new toys guys.

Have any other Canadians received their units yet?

Greg

I just checked the Canada Post website and sure enough, I could use the USPS tracking number. At least that part is cool. Unfortunately it says the same thing - International item is en route to Canada.

Well. Your not alone. I still have following text as last tracking:
Your item left the United States from LOS ANGELES at 11:19 AM on March 4, 2008

And here is the good part. Two of my friends in Norway who ordered 1 day after me (and had left US as March 5), they got it yesterday. Way to go USPS, did you send mine with a container ship ? Going to do a little phone inquiries today.

My USPS tracking info shows the same, as does the info on the Canada Post tracking area.
I guess I'm glad to hear that its not just me that hasn't seen any updates in over a week now, but I do feel kind of bad for the poor pack mule that USPS must have loaded up with our packages. I can only assume that the poor beast is lost and disoriented out there in all the snow.

I just checked the Canada Post site for mine. It still shows the March 4th international shipping. I really hope the poor guy with all our Canadian extenders is not sitting on the beach in California waiting for all our snow to melt. I ordered a usb-uirt a couple of weeks ago.It took 4 days to get here. I
have to head to Toronto later this week, maybe I will stop at the Canada post warehouse to see if they have got a new sage server with a bunch of new HD extenders hooked up. I won't really start to worry until the end of the week, It might not even be the postal system,it could be Canada Customs. They can be, I'd better stop here if I ever what to see my extender.

Ours are probably on the same container ship heading to Thialand.

Let us know what your phone calls reveal.

Yahoooooooooooo , ordered mine Feb 27 at 2pm.

2 weeks waiting, but at least I will not have to pay th 50$ (Brokerage fee) that UPS and Fedex charge's you to cross custom's with you package.

Hopefully I will have it by the end of the afternoon. Yesterday evening I had a Post Canada slip (on my door), to come and pick it up at the local Post office.

Coming from someone in the US USPS tracking is practically worthless. I don't understand why they offer tracking if they aren't going to update it frequently.

I called my local post office. Its not there. They did give me a toll free number to call to see if it was in the country. I called it and gave up after 45 minutes on hold. My local post office did mention that they have had parcels take up to 8 weeks to be delivered by USPS. Yes that's right 8 weeks.

Talked to my local post service here in Norway who will receive the package, if it ever comes. They adviced me to get the shipper (SageTV) to claim a missing package against USPS. Technically it has to be this way. Untill I have signed for received package it is USPS responsibility. And in their FAQ it is the sender who must claim it.

So I've sent an e-mail to SageTV to ask them to take action. Nothing more I can do.

Really wonderful that 2 packages from friends of mine sent 1 day later than mine already are here. Note to SageTV: Please refrain from using USPS ever again. Tracking info is poor, at best.

Yeah, I just checked the status on canada post and my unit has arrived in missassuaga and is in customs. (as of 1/2 an hour ago). Now if customs is quick about it, I might have this puppy by the weekend.

And not a moment too soon. My R5000 modded receiver is on its way back from connecticuit as of today too. Hopefully by next week, I will be recording and viewing in HD.

Well if it's any consolation, it was not delivered to me until today when I called the Post Office courrier and I just drove there and picked up my 2 units.

So as of today I have them. I think it's still within the 7-10 business days rule.

Just checked Canada post. Mine has cleared customs and has been processed at the mississauga postal outlet. This is worse than being a Kid at Christmas.

I don't know... at least there is some sort of tracking number. At Christmas, you never know where Santa is. NORAD claims to track him on Christmas Eve, but I'm always suspicious that they're just making it up & not really using their radar systems to track him. I don't know how you would tell the difference.

I don't know about that! At least you know he is coming on that day and he comes through the chimney!

With the HD Extenders you don't know when and where from!

Finally some change in my shipping status. My package is in customs here in Norway now. So from leaving the US, March 04, to arriving in Norway March 14. It took 10 days. Must have hitched a ride on the wrong flight.

Anyway. Probably getting it start of next week. Gives me a little time to rework my SageTV server to .10 release.
