I have been lurking in these forums for quite a while and with the arrival of the HD Extender I think I'm ready to make the jump to SageTV.

I have a few questions that I hope some of the users can answer for me:

My current setup is as follows:

For DVD movies:
Sony up converting DVP-CX995V 400 Disc DVD/CD Changer

For other content:
Hard modded Xbox running XBMC
Streamed from 1TB HP Media Vault NAS

For TV:
Bell 9200 Dual Tuner PVR (equivalent to Dish network 942)

My Planned setup:

SageTv Server (with 2 hauppauge hd pvr tuners when they become available)
SageMC skin
4TB NAS
3 STX-HD100 Extenders

Here are my questions:

- DVD Playback
I currently use the Sony DVD changer for movies because I find the picture quality superior to the XBOX.
Is the consensus that the HD Extenders video quality is on par with a good up-converting DVD player?


- Other videos
I have an extensive library of videos in Divx format that I have collected over the years and XBMC is a dream
for cataloging and acquiring meta data for the videos.
I know that Sage won't be quite as slick as XBMC for this, but I hope it will be adequate.
I can't seem to find any screen shots of the imported videos section with archived shows.
Can anyone point me to something that will give me an idea of what to expect.
The TV.com scraper plug-in seems like exactly what I need, I just can't find a screen shot if the interface.

Is SageTV generally as reliable as a set top box PVR? Not that my PVR is perfect, but it does work pretty well.
This is obviously critical to the WAF.


Any advice you experienced users and HD100 owners could give me would be greatly appreciated.
