Most stable firmware/Server Software

Just got my HD extender and was wondering what the most stable firmware and Server software combination was.

I have 6.3 (non-beta) and I had a few lockups where the video would just stop mid-stream, sometimes with a black screen, and other times with just frozen video. I am not sure which firmware I am running, I will check tonight.

6.3.10 is the most current beta and has been made the current release.

There are a couple of threads about the HD extender lockups. It appears to be a firmware issue. I am currently testing a older version of the firmware to help track down the cause. The older firmware does appear to be more solid but testing is not complete yet.

Another thing to do is to make sure to use Java v1.6, update 4 or 5. I'm told there were some important Java bug fixes in update 4.

Edit: If Java isn't already on a Windows system, the SageTV installer will install Java v1.6.0_04. (This was updated in SageTV v6.3.7)

Sage version 6.3.8 and the latest firmware on the extender (20080204 0) has been very stable for me. I only have one issue, but it's not a stability thing.

Actually I just realized that I have 6.3.10, I thought I only had 6.3.0 because there is no mention of the release on the main software page.

I will check my firmware tonight.

The original 6.3 release was actually 6.3.5, but then they released a maintenance version of 6.3.10...it's still 6.3 with some fixes so I am sure that is why it isn't mentioned.
