Powering on my HD-100 starts Media Center in windows

I have a headless server going for about 3 weeks now and I love it, but the other day I noticed when I power on my HD-100 extender - Windows Media Center starts on my server. I noticed this because I had my server hooked up to a monitor while transferring some files from another PC. It does not seem to interfere with how the extender works or slow it down as far as I can tell and I can close Media center without problem, but I am hoping there is a way to stop Media Center from starting at all. I have used the administrative tools >> services to disable Media Center Extender, Receiver & Scheduler services on my SageTV server, but that did not stop Media Center from starting when I turned on my STX HD-100. Any ideas?

Do you still have the MCE transceiver plugged in (or any IR receiver for that matter)?

Ya well why didn't I think of that? My friend had plugged in the IRblaster/rec for my Hauppauge 1600 when he was looking at my set up and I was not aware.
