Sage Extender Problems - Choppy SD and HD

I'm having some serious problems with my HD100. All playback is choppy! It's driving me nuts. This is my main problem, I find the interface colors to be a little off-color as well via component, but the choppy video is something I cannot live with.

I've tried 480p, 720i, 720p, and 1080i...all of them stutter the video playback. I tried a SageTV client and it works fine. The TV on the main Sagetv server works fine...but any video playback on the HD100 is choppy, except my movie collection (i.e. divx movies). Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? I'm going to have to send this back if I can't get it work. Thanks for the help!

What version of Sage do you have running on the server? What version of java? Is your network connection running at the correct speed? Need more info.

I'm running SageTV 6.3.10 RC. My network is 100mbit, which I didn't consider to be a problem because the Client PC works fine for me at the same location. The server is also running Java 6, which I believe is the latest version because I just updated the other day.

Thanks for the help...any ideas?

I've gotten the same problem. As my spouse puts it "great, we can record 7 shows at once, but we can't watch them" :-). The problem for me occurs when any of the tuners is recording and I start to playback recorded content, even if it's just one.

Rebooting my Server and/or the HD extender will alleviate the problem for a short period of time (< 30 minutes) and then it starts up again. Stopping the recorded show and starting it again also causes playback to resume, but more often then not it will become choppy again within a couple of minutes.
