My vote is in. Hey since I'm in Florida anyways, I feel as though it is my civic duty to rig the election somehow, perhaps with multiple votes . OH well, so long as there aren't any recounts or hanging chads...

Ok, seriously, Sage is losing to Motorola The only thing that POS is good for is recording via firewire.

I voted, but I'm not letting the numbers get me down. I've always been a believer of QUALITY over quantity!

+6 votes here!
I encouraged my family members to vote as well. The humans were fairly easy to convince but the cat and dog took some extra work, they held out for treats.

I don't think it is rigged. With the exception of Windows Media Center, the things beating Sage are the stand alone boxes supplied by your service provider or available through retail channels.

Do you really think Sage will ever compete with TIVO (or your cable companies crappy DVR system, etc) in market share? Come on now, Sage appeals to the computer savy, TIVO appeals to everyone else. I not saying that Sage cannot stand toe to toe with TIVO and beat it in regard to ability, but it will never beat it on market share. Just look at the forums filled with questions and problems and you'll understand why TIVO will always appeal to a greater number of people.

I think Windows Media Center is OWNED by a lot of people and therefore may have been voted for it in the poll. I'm not sure how many of those people use it as a hard core DVR system. But it probably is being used by a lot of people because it was "free" with their computer.

Weird, my post is older than some of the posts listed here and yet appears farther up on the thread. How does someone living in Virginia make a post that is time logged as 4:40pm today when it is only 11:18am EST?

What troubles me the most is this thread has been viewed 274 times, but Sage still only has 172 votes! Do we have 100 people who use the forum but don't believe Sage is the best?
