I'm seeing this as well. And because of it I can't do a forum search.

The forum clock was messed up, so if you saw the wrong time on the forum, it will be fixed by now.

I love answering questions before they are asked.

There are going to be a whole bunch of threads like this, aren't there... (out of order, I mean).

I guess you are saying that the problem has been fixed, but those posts with the "advanced" time are not corrected at this point? I ask because I still see threads where I post a reply - it has the correct time, but there are several posts that have times that are still in the future, so my posts appear before those posts in the thread order.

My posts are being made with the correct time at this time, it is just that some of the older posts are still showing times out in the future.

EDIT - like this thread where hemicuda's post below was made before mine, but yet still shows a 4:51pm post time today (which is about 5 hours in the future from now).

I feel like I am living a bad episode of "Journeyman"

Right -- I don't know if there is a way to fix the time on all those posts that are now coming from the future. And, yes, that's going to be a real pain in the forum until time catches up.

Forums Still Messed Up

For the record, the forums are still screwed up - not fixed as of 10:44am CST this morning - I can't send PM's, can't do searches and can't view by "new posts"

Regarding the search problem: what happens if you manually log out of the forum & then log back in? (the option is on the 2nd bar at the top of the page)

I tried that (logging out and loggin back in) - twice. I'm assuming the forums think I searched eight hours into the future and it's stuck that way until my real-time catches up with that at 4pm Central.... Now that I think of it I kind of feel like Hiro without the cool benefits

New unintended feature of SageTV: Time Travel
And to think I didn't even pay for that feature

I only have to wait 11479 seconds before I can search again. I guess I should feel lucky.

I was arguing to my wife that reading the hole forum thread by thread was faster but she just kicked me ! Absolutely no understanding there

Forum thread timestamps

Did anyone else notice that the timestamps on the forum are fast by 8hrs? They were ok yesterday.

Before anyone points this out again... yes, we know. The time has now been fixed on the forum, but it looks like there are still side effects for a few threads.

If you happen to see this & you have the only out-of-time post in a thread that is stamped as posted about 12-14 hours from now, then I suggest you copy the text, delete your post, then repost the same comments. The time will then be fixed at least for that topic.

The "New Post" link is not working. It says that I have 14886 seconds before I can click on it again. How long is that. 14886/60 = 248 min or 4 hours. Now what, I have to get back to working. That sucks.

For new posts, I've been using the link for Today's Posts, but I think that counts as a search too. Another reason to use that link is if you logged in & read things while the time was way off, then those topics will still be marked as read even if there are new posts in them.

I wish I could say "April Fools" and undo it... if there is a way to fix those things after the server's time gets messed up, I don't know what it is.
