Anybody know if a Hauppage 1250 will work

I'm looking at this tuner, but can't find any reference to it anywhere. Has anybody got one of these working with Sage?

bought one yesterday and installed it, trying to pick up QAM now but i can bet i won't get anything do to the amount of splitters and amps on my cable line to get in this room. i'll let you if i get anything on QAM and i should be buying my new antenna for ATSC this month. i'll check back and post if nobody else gets to your question first.

I actually picked one up on Monday since I couldn't track down anything negative.

If the thing works, I have 1 splitter between the antenna and this card and it barely picks up anything. I had been running from the antenna into the splitter and directly to my TV without any problems (the other output of the splitter goes to my ati650). This card picked up what it claimed was 20% signal on half the channels (half were at about 85%- the ati reports 95 for all channels), but since this wasn't enough to display anything Sage displayed the big "No Signal." Since I thought it might be the cable, I put together a new RG6 cable, but now it reports 0% signal for all channels.

So, last night I updated the drivers and installed Hauppauges wintv app, and tried to scan for channels, thinking maybe sage just doesn't like this card. No luck, Wintv doesn't find anything at all. Tonight I'm going to try going back to my original cable and see what wintv can find, and if that doesn't work the card goes back to the store.

I may just order another of the ATI 650's, but I have to find out if I can double those up first...

Helping a friend build a htpc and his HVR 1600 won't fit in his case. Saw the 1250 and am interested to see how it works. Anybody got QAM working with it?

I can't help with QAM, but wanted to leave an update for anybody intersted. I switched cables again, and everything seems to be working. There was nothing wrong with the cable I had been using, but the wire sticking out of the new coax was longer than on the old cable. I'm thinking my problem was just a goofy f-connector on the 1250, that needed a longer lead from the coax.

Friend installed his 1250 with his 780g mobo, and QAM is working great.

I too have this up and running (I just use it for QAM) along side my PVR 500, works well.
