HD100 spdif

Hi,

probably a stupid question, but is the audio signal of e.g. FLAC files played on the extender going into the audio receiver "bit-perfect", meaning is there any re-sampling done in the extender hardware ?

Thanks,
Dirk

It shouldn't be resampled, but I don't know if the volume is tampered with.

What about the following: I have a wav file that contains DTS audio which I used to test my AV-710 bit-perfect setup. When I play it with the HD extender I only get garbage on my receiver - does that mean that the extender is indeed resampling ?

Dirk

It still drops out on some DTS streams. I have only noticed this on 1.5Mbps streams.

Did you ever figure out if the audio is bit perfect? I would like to use the spdif out to go to an external DAC for a fairly high end audio system. Is anybody else doing this?

Thanks,
Rod
