DTS to AC3

Someone had posted a wikipedia article a while back that showed step by step how to download a few tools and turn DTS audio into AC3. I cannot seem to find the thread or the wiki article. If someone could give me a link to it, I would greatly appreciate it.

TSRemux will do it in one click. I've used it and it seems to work fine.

MKV?

If you are wanting to do this for .mkv files then this thread over at The popcornhour forum is how I have done this. http://www.networkedmediatank.com/viewtopic.php?t=852

I actually have used spawn's method with gdsmux which is a couple posts down. It seemed simpler and less steps. Gdsmux opens with a blank screen and it's not obvious how to proceed. Note this under the screenshot:
Rightclick the blank windows and select "add source" and select your file to be converted

This works quickly enough. I don't have a DTS capable amp attached to the HD100 but this method works to allow me to play files that originally contained DTS audio to my tv's stereo speakers. I don't think my wife would tolerate me adding an amp to our livingroom setup.

Great tip!

Have you guys found something similar for DCA sountracks?

DCA is DTS... I'm not sure why the different acronym though.

Edit: It stands for "DTS Coherent Acoustics"

Don't know why it didn't occur to me to look.

SageTV reports some files as dts and others like DCA.
