How to setup WHS for recording

This is probably a stupid question but I had rather ask than to mess up my system. I have SageTV running on Windows Home Server. Using Hauppauge HVR1600 card and can receive live TV OK. I would like to be able to record but from reading other post the recording drive should be outside of the managed pool and formatted for 64K clusters. How do I get to the drive to format it? Can this be done through the Home Server Console?

You can either use Remote Desktop from a client or hook up a monitor and keyboard directly to the WHS box. Then use Disk Management to format your drive. Just be absolutely sure you're working with a drive outside of the WHS pool (right-click the drive and select Properties to verify model number of drive if you get confused).
