Issues with Online Video playback

Ok so I recently started playing around with SageTVs online video features.

However whenever I try to playback any Tekzilla video the audio plays fine but the video is a slideshow. Note that I did pause the video to let the buffer fill up to about 10 minutes before playing and still have the slideshow. Tekzilla uses a pretty high quality video stream at least from the quality of the still images I see on my 1080p display. The stream is FLV not sure of the resolution.

My hardware:
gigabyte ga-ma78gm-s2h (using the IGP) which is pretty damn good for HD playback.
Phenom 9500
2GB RAM
Using PowerDVD 8.0 decoder

I have no issues playing back 1080i broadcast HD and have had zero problems with Bluray playback.

I'd try Opus4's fix from this post:

http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthr...7&postcount=22

Changing the line "media_player_plugin_class/flv=sage.LinuxMPlayerPlugin" in my sage.properties file worked wonders for me. Basically this makes it so Sage's internal mplayer plays back the flv file. It's worth a shot. Make sure you modify the correct properties file depending on how you're running sage...

You shut down the client, good. But did you stop the sagetv service too? They both need to be shut down before making edits to the properties file. You may have done this but it wasn't clear... I was hoping this would fix your problem!

No, I did not shut down there service! Will give that a go when I get home. Did not think I would need to restart the service since I was only making a change to the client properties file.

BTW: if you are not editing sage.properties, then you do not need to stop the service. I edit my client properties files & extender properties files all the time w/o stopping the service.

No change. Note this is on an XP machine. Also running in service mode with the client on the same machine.

Ok online video still a slideshow. Any other suggestions, I would really like to get this working. It seems any FLV feeds through sage do this slideshow playback. If I run the same feed outside of sage on the same box it plays fine.

Check with support to see what they suggest.
