HD100: is there a way to power off remotely?

Hello, is there a method to control the HD-100 via IP?
I am using the Sleep stvi plugin and when the sleep timer expires it puts the HD-100 in standby mode, but I am really looking for a solution to power down the HD-100 and also power off my TV. I can write a custom program to execute when the sleep timer expires, but I don't know how to tell the HD-100 to power down. Anyone tackle this yet and can provide any advice?

Thanks, rrsavage

If you can script a telnet, you can poweroff.

I tried this via telnet, but it did not do anything on the extender. I am running the latest beta firmware on the extender. Can anybody confirm that this command 'poweroff' is working?

Thanks, rrsavage

Why do you need to power it off? I think it takes 6 watts last time I checked.

I think if I power it off, my TV will automatically turn itself off if no signal is detected after X number of minutes. Looking for a solution to use the Sleep timer to ultimately turn off all equipment at night.

There's a thread somewhere asking for this feature when put into standby (power down all outputs). Find that thread (it's recent), create an official support request, and reference that thread in your request...

Obviously, that's your long term solution. <smile>

command is /sbin/poweroff

I would submit a bug if it isn't working.

yup,

Still not working even with latest BETA firmware. I can logon to the terminal using the root account and I can send the instruction to execute, it seems to accept the command, but the device does nothing

Submitting a bug report.

Thanks, rrsavage
