SageTV Extender- Front Panel different?

I just got SageTV Extender today. A bit excited but a bit disappointed at same time. The front panel is totally different and I dont see any fine print on the website saying "the device may look different than the actual picture" or something like that. Whats up?

Attaching picture.

There is a post somewhere on these forums confirming that the faceplate is a little different on the new extenders. Nothing inside has changed from what I remember.

Where? I did a search and couldn't find it. It is still silly for a person who want to purchase a device, that he have to find that the front panel is different via forum. It should have mentioned on the order page or product page.

I guess they figured making the buttons a little different without changing anything else wouldn't upset people.... But you never know

Seriously, it's not that big of a deal is it? - I think the new faceplate looks just as good as the old one - plus it's built out of titanium-infused plastic so its better anyway (jk of course)

well, half-half. It would be nice to see the "arrow" of left and right, so you know which one to press, instead of seeing all the same buttons, forcing you to read the label before pressing a button.

I would like to see what the SageTV have to say about this.

I see your point on the buttons. To be honest I very rarely get close enough to the HD100 to ever see the buttons. I'm kind of a remote-control HTPC guy myself.

I agree the arrows on the original were better but the Standby button on the new version is better I think.

I don't think I've used anything but the standby button on my units either.

The buttons are functional? I thought they were just there to break up the black faceplate.

There's buttons on the front? Oh yeah, there they are. What are they for?

I figured out what they are for! They are commercial skipping buttons. Get up off the couch, go find my reading glasses, come back and crouch down on the floor, open the A/V cabinet, oops, forgot a flashlight go get one, come back crouch down and read the button labels, realize that the remote had all of the button functions back at the couch, Oh, hey, commercials are over

I thought I was the only one that did that.
