Output 1080p 120hz via HDMI?

Hi folks,

I have an HD100 and am shopping for a tv to take advantage of it. My question: Will the HD100 output 1080p at 120 hz? (If not, then I probably don't want to bother paying any extra money for a tv that will output 120hz as compared to 60).

Most (if not all) of the 120hz TV's out there don't actually accept 120hz inputs. The accept a 60hz signal, and double it to make 120hz. Some LCD TV's have AMP or Motion Flow which attempt to create new frames in between the regular frames to "smooth" out the image. I personally don't like this effect, but many people do.

Also, the newer LCD's can do 5:5 pulldown from a 24p (film source) to reduce judder (5 * 24 = 120), since no 3:2 pulldown is needed.

All of the above relates to LCD TV's, but I think plasma's are quite similar.
