Trying to get a Pinnacle Dual-Sat Pro DVB-S tuner card to work

I'm trying to get a Pinnacle Dual-Sat Pro DVB-S tuner card to work with SageTV - using the latest 6.4.5 beta as I understand that has better DVB-S support..

I can get the card recognised as two DVB-S tuners (Pinnacle Stargate), but when I scan it won't find any channels. I'm using my Sky dish, so I choose the Astra 28.2 provider.

I know the card works OK as I can successfully tune and watch channels using DVBViewer.

Any ideas - am I doing something wrong?
