Playback h.264 mpg files

I have an h.264 mpg file in the video folder but when I use Sage on my PC it does not even see the file, it sees all my other mpeg2 files, can anybody help.

I wanted to eventually set up the Hd extender so I can view my h.264 mpg files but can't even see them on my computer, is this normal?

What is the file extension of your file? Sage should automatically pick up files like .mp4 and .mkv.

Below (extracted from Sage property file) are the file extensions that Sage already know about, and you can always add your own provided you have the necessary directshow filters.

Code:
seeker/video_library_import_filename_extensions=.mpg,.mpeg,.mp2,.mpeg2,.mpe,.avi,.divx,.mpg1,.ts,.wmv,.asf,.wm,.tivo,.m2t,.vob,.flv,.mp4,.mov,.trp,.m4v,.ogm,.3gp,.mkv,.dvr-ms
