How to roll back stx firmware?
I have had to roll back my server to 6.4.4 because of some audio stream issues, but the STX is still on 200807100 and I seem to be getting some issues with DVD playback that weren't there with the earlier (namely if i change the aspect to zoom in, is resets after a little while to the normal full screen view.)
What I'd like to know is how do I rollback to the previous beta firmware(I need the beta one because I need PAL support Cheers, Fraser

If you have the firmware file from the version you want to use, there is a post in the extender forum's FAQ that explains how to load firmware from the file on your SageTV server.

Thanks for your response. Where can I download the actual firmware files from, I've only ever used the UI on the STX to do the upgrades, never "seen" the files for download to a computer, except the "default" firmware in the recovery thread. Fraser

Do you know what beta version you are looking for? The sticky firmware updates thread lists them.
You can download it by substituting VersionDate-#.bin for stx1000.bin in the extender FAQ's link to the recovery firmware download. It still has to be renamed to stx1000.bin in the SageTV directory for the update to work, though. - Andy

I tried http://download.sage.tv/firmware/200807070.bin and got a 404 page not found What am I doing wrong? Ta, Fraser
