File size for Sage

Hello,
I'm considering changing to Sage and was wondering what is the normal file size for an analog 30min recording, 1hr recording as well as HD 30min recording and 1hr recording.

Thanks,
Chuck

SD depends on your settings, but a good bet is around 2-3GB/hr or so, HD runs around 5-9GB/hr depending on the network. Space scales linearly with time.

It's really dictated by the tuners you use, not the software, so that's to be expected

Recording SD with my PVR250 card, sage set to DVD quality, I get a 3GB file recording an hour show. 1.8GB for a 30 min show. No HD on my system.

I use the Sage Job Queue plugin (aka SJQ) to compress everything to MPEG4 which is roughly 500mb per 1/2 hour SD. Works great for me.
