Do i have to install hauppauge software to work with sageTv?
I have hvr-1600 card, installed the driver. I dont want to install the wintv application and other software. can i configure sagetv without wintv? How about remote configuration?
Thanks, I have x64 vistal ultimate, hvr-1600, sagetv evaluation.

You don't need wintv installed to use Hauppauge tuners with SageTV.
To use Hauppauge's IR blaster/receiver, you do need the Hauppauge IR driver & software installed and running. - Andy
