upgrade to 6.4.8 then choppy mvp playback
Hello,
All was good, I have lan with my mvp on it. Pentium 4 2Ghz with WinXP SP3. I upgraded to 6.4.8 and now have problems with playing xvid files on the mvp. Earlier it worked great however after the updgrade, the transcoding process on the saget tv computer sucks up a lot of cpu and also results in the mvp pausing the video playback every few seconds. I thought it might have been my upgrade to XP3 but I restored an old image with just SP2 which was working and then installed 6.4.8 and have the same issue. Ideally I would like to install an older version of sage and go back to my original setup however I am not sure where I can download older versions of sage. On a different track is it worth upgrading to vista ? regards, suresh.
