DVD icon missing from main menu

Just wondering why there isn't a dvd icon on the main menu, or is something missing from my install?

anyone? Is there a way to fix this, or do I need to uninstall and reinstall SageMC?

Just trying to understand what you are asking here. No DVD icon? Are you trying to view a ripped DVD from the hard drive, or playback a DVD locally? Are you just missing a icon of the DVD, as in, you DO have text that says DVD but no image? Can you be more specific about what you are asking?

I understand what he is saying, because I had the same problem. On the main page under SageMC, you have the My Tv, My Video, My Music, DVD, and Settings buttons that will take you to the appropriate screens. Each one of those buttons has an icon on it. On my setup, neither the DVD button nor the Settings button had an icon.

I basically selected an icon for each of those buttons and turned one on. It was a while ago, but as I recall, I highlighted the button that I wanted to work on, and then right-clicked. That brought up a menu that let me "customize" the button... I went through that and one of the customizing options was "icon"... I selected that and picked an icon file called "DVD.png" and that put on the DVD icon. I did the same for my settings button and picked a file that looked like a gear.

Sorry that I can't be more specific. This is from my memory and I lost that a long time ago. If that doesn't solve it, let me know and I will go through my system when I get home and try to make it more accurate.

In the main menu for SageMC, you have all the options: My TV, My Videos, My Music, DVD, etc.

Each one has a SageMC icon, except for DVD.

So I've got the text, but no icon.

It's for a physical DVD.

I haven't customized the menus at all.

Which theme are you using? The default Theme has this icon for DVD's:


You can check to be sure it's there by browsing to
SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3\SageMCE\Themes\Default\MenuIcons>

The image file should be named hover_dvd.png

Thanks! It was there, but I had to go into the menu and change the Icon - didn't know I could do that.

Now does anyone have a blu-ray icon?

Should be one in the same place as the other one you just found. "blu-ray_logo.png" Open up windows explorer and browse that folder to see all of the icons.

I'm using the BlueTwo Blue Steel theme, and it doesn't have either the dvd or blu-ray_logo.png. Where could I find replacements?

it also looks like the one for my menu is missing....
