How to combine channels on two lineups?

I have two lineups but many of the channels are the same. I would like the identical channels to show only once in the guide, how do I achieve this?

I have read the forums and the manuals and tried different things but I haven't been able to figure it out and make it work. Please help

Channels with the same names should get combined in the guide -- in the PDF manual, see the note at the bottom of the chapter 3 section for the Program Guide.

I think you are outside the US & are not using the built-in EPG data, so if you have channels with the same names that aren't combined into a single listing in the guide, then it may have something to do with how the channels were added to SageTV.

Thank you for your answer, that's what I was hoping for!

I has been using XMLTV Importer for SageTV (http://www.lmgestion.net/@en-us/4/22/54/59/article.asp) and with that program created two lineups and imported those in SageTV. The Call Sign is the same for the same channels on the two lineups, but my guess is that SageTV has added some kind of identifier to them as well so the guide doesn't see them as the same channel. Is there any files/registry settings I can edit/look into in hope of achieving my ultimate goal; combined listing?

In case anyone happens to do a search or something I got the solution from Stéphane Menguy, the author of the XMLTV plugin. If you have two lineups in the XMLTV importer, you must not only give them the same call sign but also the same ID. I changed and matched my lineups and now everyting works the perfect way (one channel shown once in the guide). Thanks!
