HD100 Playback Freezing

I have been very frustrated the past few days. I don't know if my HD100 is not working correctly, or if my computer is going bad. Whenever I watch a HD recording over the HD100 the picture freezes. This did not use to happen. When I check Task Manager on my PC, I have noticed the CPU running pretty hard when playing back video over the HD100. I would not expect the processor to be running so hard considering the HD100 is doing the decoding. Is this typical? How can I be sure my HD100 is working properly?

Thanks

What firmware version are you using on the HD100?

I am using the latest Firmware. I believe it is 20080812.

Additional information.
I changed my Video Folder to a folder on another hard drive and removed the one I had been using. After doing this, the CPU dropped dramatically when viewing SD and HD content via the HD100. I guess my hard drive could be going bad, but I would not have expected the CPU to be pegged because of it.

I've seen that when the Hard Drive gets switched from UDMA to PIO mode...this page seems to have a pretty good description of the problem and how to fix it.
