Cannot view YouTube
We are trying to view YouTube videos. Seems like it is going to work - thumbnails come up - then we click on one to view and we get:

error msg: unable to determine the video file to download

I would be happy to pay for support -if I could find how to contact support - does anyone have an answer to my error msg!!!

Are you using the default interface, or have you loaded SageMC?

If you are using the default STV, what version of SageTV are you using (on the System Info screen) and what video doesn't work?

we are using sage tv 6.18.133
When we go to menu pick for YOUTUBE and slect YOUTUBES - we can see the thumbnails for each video - but when we try and open one to watch we get an error:

UNABLE TO DETRMINE THE VIDEO FILE TO DOWNLOAD

I'd guess that YouTube changed the site since 6.18.133...you may need the new Sage code (6.4.8) to have it work.

What version is that? v6.1.8? I'm not sure if you are a new user or just new to this forum, but if you are just starting out, you should use the version you can download from the SageTV site, which is v6.4.8 currently.

And, as Polypro said, the code to get the YouTube video has been updated. It works correctly in the latest version of SageTV.

Thank YOU!! Yes - I am new to Sage TV. I am a technical support person (but have NO EXPERIENCE with SageTV). I am trying to assist a client with this issue. Can you please provide steps for downloading new release. Thanks!!

Clicking on Opus' 6.4.8 link in his signature leads right to the download page.
