Baby Steps

So I have decided to take baby steps on figuring out my issues.

I will go back to the beginning and start with my system.

Attached is my setup.

Does this look right?

And if not please let me know.

The main question I have about this is the Audio reciever being between the TV and the HTPC. Does this cause any problems?

Looks okay to me. I have my HTPC connected to my receiver which is connected to my TV.

So I have been messing around with my system and I realized.

The picture is crystal clear when windowed.

If I could somehow get that PQ in the full screen 52" I would be beyond happy.

Any ideas.

Help us out here....kind of leaving out some parts. Is this poor pq from an SD or HD signal? Is this playback from your main Sage box then (your server) and not the HD100?

I don't have a HD100

PQ of both SD and HD via HD-PVR to Server

As illustrated in post #1

Your diagram seems to have a MAJOR error in it and I hope it's the diagram and not your setup... You have the S/PDIF going from the HD-PVR to your HTPC? But no sound going from your DirecTV receiver to the HD-PVR....

You could try connecting your HTPC directly to your Samsung TV, bypassing the receiver for your video. (DVI->HDMI) See if that helps it in full window mode. Everything else should be fine.

I was afraid of that. I have a 52" on a pull out mount so I can turn the TV while I am in my office. Was hoping I only needed to have 1 Cable(HDMI) plus the power cord going from the TV to the wall behind it. (cleaner looking)

Going to have to fully reprogram the remote too now. Arg.

I will try this and repost. Thanks.
