Old Version Sagemc.jar error with Placeshifter & 6.3.8

I just updated my SageMC with 6.3.8. At first I got the

"Old Version 6.3.8 of Sagemc.jar installed. Please Update".

Error. That seems to be okay now on my main HTPC. However I am still getting that error on my PlaceShifter clients. Not sure if I missed something in the update process or if I need to do something on the Placeshifter systems.

Any Help appreciated.

Neal

I've just updated as well and got the same error on all clients.
I've just loaded the new STV file on all clients and no more messages.

You may also get that error if your df_sageutils.jar file is out of date. You can check the size/date of the copy in your JARs folder vs. the one included in the full SageMC download. Make sure you restart SageTV (including the service if you are using it) for the new jar file to be loaded. You could also be getting this error if you have not loaded the new SageMC STV on in Placeshifter (Settings >> Load STV).

Aloha,
Mike

I think this got fixed in 6.3.8, it should only report this error if it's really the sagemc.jar file...

Unhappy Can't fix this error ...

I keep on getting "You hae an old version (6.3.8) of sagemc.jar installed" error. I did replace both jar files (which had correct size/date), and keep on having the problem.

Any idea's?

Jan

The error means the jar version doesn't match the STV version. If the jar version is correct (which it is), then you must be using the wrong STV version.

In other words stop using the SageMC_169-"x".xml ("x"=whatever number of imports you made into it) and load the STV SageMC_169.xml. This is the one that comes with the update. Once you do that reimport all of your imports and you should be good to go.

As my XMLTV importer source also has to be changed, decided to go for the 'easy' approach and just re-installed Sage from scratch.

All works now fine.

And yes, it must have been an old "x".xml I was using, as in the version screen it for one line still gave the old version number.

Thx.
