Vista wants to install a new driver for my Hauppauge PVR-150

I reboot my computer fairly infrequently but I noticed today that one of the updates that Windows Update wants to install (my OS is Vista HP) is a new driver for the Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCII26xxx. I am pretty sure that this is the driver for my Hauppauge PVR-150, but I also have an HD-PVR so it is possible it is that driver.

Has anyone installed this? Any pros/cons? I am kind of leaning towards the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy.

I've always seemed to have bad luck with hardware drivers that Microsoft wants to install with its updates. When I see that warning I will go to the vendor site and see if there are new versions and install them from there. That usually stops Microsoft from trying to install them. If it doesn't then I usually mark Windows Update to ignore that download. My 2 cents. I tend to stay pretty current with the drivers. I have found waiting too long to update tends to create more issues or makes it harder to troubleshoot or rollback.
