XP --> WHS upgrade success

Just thought I would share another WHS upgrade success story. Had a bit of help from people here, but it was only to make sure I didn't screw it up. Betwen threads here, the FAQ, and the even the guidance during the install of sage on WHS, it was pretty painless. The final step of advanced video recovery worked flawlessly. Here are the steps I went through.

1. Install new "large drive" into WHS box
2. Do not add the drive into the "pool"
3. Format drive in 64k cluster by going to
--> Administrative Tools --> Computer Management --> Disk Managment
--> Find the drive, Right click, select 64k clusters and format (quick is fine)
--> Set drive let to E: or whatever you feel like
4. Move all TV/Video files over to your new storage directory with a "1" added to the end
--> I did not bring any of the extra files in regads to compression or commercials
--> Example E:\TV --> E:\TV1
5. Install Video Drivers for your capture device
6. Install the sageTV addin
7. Get your tuners and directories setup (sage does a nice job of this in reference to the WHS directories)
--> I did this via placeshifter on my local PC so I had a keybaord
--> make your video recording directory sans the '1' or e:\tv1 --> e:\tv
8. Follow the FAQ on moving to a new machine.
--> Exception, once you shut sage down, delete your recording directory (e.g. e:\tv) and rename your e:\tv1 directory to e:\tv
--> I did this as not to have a huge "gap time" when moving files.

Thanks to everyone again. The day I shut down my XP machine was the day I started saving over a $100/year in electricity costs.
