SageTv 6.5.3 + HDHR 20081203beta1 = no signal

Hi,
Wow I didn't realise how long I had been sitting at my computer, went to go outside and where did all those leaves come from? The good news is the wife won't be able to find the front door to come in and see I have been slacking.

Thanks to those who suggested I dissable UAC. That got me past the system file error.

I did a clean install.
Set the HDHR channels. Left it open and installed sage, licensed.

Got to scan channels and it did a 'slow scan'.

Closed out and rebooted.

Got to do a 'fast scan'.

Went to a channel and 'no signal'

VLC fine
Strength fine.

Have sent off my log files again.

Does anyone else have this much trouble getting this to work? Do you know more than me, and therefore it works for you and a Joe average (not the plumber) like me has no show in ... getting it to work.

While I wait I will do a google search for a cure on how I currently feel. There must be a big brightly colored pill out there...

Do you use a firewall? If so, try disabling it and see if Sage can get a signal. I did a clean install a few months ago and there were some key exceptions that were not made to the my firewall. Once I manually entered the exceptions, everything worked perfectly.

I had my head down and had missed the new one.
Now heres a delema,, because I came back to say after several reboots and just bouncing from channel to channel waiting to see if I got a signal.. I did. Don't want to reboot or touch it at moment as my channels seem to be working.

Installed HDHR 20081205beta1.
Did a remove tuners, add tuners, channel scan in SageTV.
SageTv found tuners and have not had a 'no Signal' issue for last hour or so.

All seems to be well several hours on.

I'm having a similar issue, except it's with some channels but not all.

6.4.8 with HDHR 1020 software (release version) is just fine.

6.5.3 + latest HDHR beta: Some channels won't tune in Sage (tune just fine in VLC)
6.5.3 + HDHR 1020 Release: Same thing--some won't tune in Sage.

I reverted everything to where I started and it's fine.
