Oops.. sorry I missed that. I guess this import isnt for me. I was hoping for pulling artwork automatically via internet based on movie title (file name); and, caching only the ones needed locally.

I've been playing with the "Movie Info Screen" STV and I've got a couple observations/questions.
1. The STV doesn't seem to recognize Custom1 keypresses
2. Is there a way to disable the animated DVD dropping?
3. Is there a way to disable the STV cramming the thumnals into a DVD case?

Thanks,
Ben

Unfortunatly its as it is at the moment, thats until I can learn how to do more complex things like custom menus.

1. Not sure about this as I dont use custom keypresses.
2. No
3. Not sure why its cramming the thumbnails into the case. Mine all look fine and are made to 350x500. Can you provide a screenshot?

Regards

Ben

Good work jaminben...

i'd like to know how you got the file information to show up on the lower part of the screen (file size, resolution, path, file name, etc.)

i'd like to incorporate that information on my setup.

thanks

Just push the "Info" button on your remote.

edit: is it possible to keep the IMDB rating on the screen to show up as well, i like to see sometimes what the rating of a movie is before watching it. i know it shows up when the data is pulled, but it is not being saved/updated after

Does this work with iMovie installed too? Can I set it to only show up on the iMovie stuff? I don't want this much theatrics with my home videos!

Thanks

It looks like this plugin doesn't support Externally launched players for videos or DVDs. All of my Blu Ray discs are ripped as .ISOs, and when I hit play from the Movie Info Screen, the internal player tries to play them. Disabling the plugin returns the play button for these files to their expected behavior.

Just tried this out on the HD 200 and looks good. However on my server pc hooked up to a monitor the background (fanart pic) covers the whole screen. On the HD 200 hooked up to my hdtv the fanart does not cover the whole tv. There is basically a frame of the nblue theme around the fanart. Just wondering if this is normal? anyway to change it to cover the whole tv screen?

First... thank you for such an amazing enhancement to Sage. On my system when the coverart image drops down, it is initially a filler image. The actual image loads shortly after it drops, but the reflection still shows the filler image. Is there any way to update the reflection after the actual coverart has been loaded? I have high resolution coverart, so Sage doesn't seem to cache more than 8-10 images.

This would be a change to iMovies. I can look into this in a future version. I could make a setting to use the SageMC Video Info property by default, but a user can override that setting in iMovies to use a different screen if they wish. I will add this to my list.

I've been playing with the video preview but to be honest it doesnt fit in anywhere and makes the screen look too crowded. Maybe I'll create a diffrent version altogether which will include the video preview, thats if I get time.

Its proberly due to the size of your coverart, you can try and enable album caching in SageMC settings or change your inactivity timeout to 1ms within the default Sage UI settings.

I think I've found the problem and it will hopefully be fixed for the next release.

Ben,

BTW, thanks again for the awesome plugin. I have noticed something that I want to bring to your attention, albeit very minor. I noticed that if I have a movie encoded in HD with a resolution of 1280x720 when the cover drops down into the frame it will display HD. However, if I have a movie that is encoded in HD with a resolution of anything other than 1280x720 it will not display the HD logo. Many of my movies are encoded in HD with a resolution of 1280 x ???. It seems that the plugin is triggering an HD response based on the 720 portion of the resolution where I think it would be more accurate if it triggered off of the 1280 portion of the resolution... Just a thought and thanks again for the help...

Its by design, to be classed as HD then it has to have a resolution >720 lines.

I'm having an odd problem with my artwork not filling the screen when using the Movie Info Screen as opposed to the regular info screen. The image fills the screen on the standard info screen, but not on the new screen. Attached are 2 samples...

Maybe you could change this so it works off the horizontal resolution? I know I'm not the only one that has re-encoded movies with AR's higher than 1.78:1, and have cut the black bars top/bottom from the encoded output to reduce space, and as such, they are below 720 lines of vertical resolution. But yet these are in fact HD.

Everything looks good on the TV Info screen, so I hope this is fixed in the next release - it is the only thing bothering me! Thanks for two really cool addons!
