6.3.8b Pre-release 12 Recorded TV Screwy

After upgrading to Pre-release 12 I noticed as I was scrolling through the recorded TV list that it wasn't filling out properly. There would be a gap at the bottom of the list on both my HD100 and full client. When I scroll down the missing items show up on the top of the list and everything else moves down the one or two spaces.

I couldn't find another message on the topic so I don't know if this is a known bug or not. Thought I'd post just to make sure.

I should add that it's when I page down that this happens. Then when I press the down arrow to scroll down the missing items show up.

It's not just your setup. I just switched to SageMC on my clients and the same thing is happening on mine with pre-release 12.

I thought it had something to do with some memory problems I've been having. Now I can stop worrying about the memory while trying to fix this issue.

Hey Guys,

I've been trying, but I just can't reproduce this problem. Could someone post a screen shot and a debug log showing this happening? Thanks.

Aloha,
Mike

I also seem to have this issue, it has only really started to happen since I've been using the grouped folder view with 200+ recordings in total. When I get a chance later today I'll get a screenshot done and post some logs.

When I had the issue, it turned out to be related to the fanart backgrounds. I turned off the fanart backgrounds in Global UI options in the SageMC settings, because I was not a fan of the slight delay when flipping through the list of my recordings. One day, I decided to turn that default setting back on and it corrected itself.
So in short, I think it has to do with the setting of Fanart for Recordings.

Ok, so I've been able to reproduce the problem and as mikejaner has said it appears to be related to fan art. If I have context sensitive fan art enabled I don't have any issues, if I have context sensitive fan art disabled then I do. I've attached a log and two images showing what happens.

Regards

Ben

Thanks. That should help to track it down. I'll take another crack at it tonight.

Aloha,
Mike

I have a possibly related bug with the grouped recordings in the Recorded TV screen. I click into a group and get a list of episodes in the group. If I delete the last one in the list I get returned to the episode list but something gets screwed up. Then if I don't hit an arrow button on the remote before deleting the next one, the extender locks up and I have to power it off and back on again. By screwed up, I mean if I have 5 episodes in a group:

1
2
3
4
5

and I delete the last one, it returns back to the episode list. But instead of getting 1-4 I get:

2
3
4

When returned to the list, 4 is highlighted. If I hit an up or down arrow on the remote to switch away from the highlighted option before I can delete another episode in the list. If I don't hit the arrow to move the highlight bar, it locks up the extender when I delete the last highlighted item. Then I have to hit the power button on the remote to shut it off and restart it. I hope that description makes sense

I was coming here to report the same behavior with the same results with the same property, but it looks like Ben beat me to it. With a new install on WHS I loaded up 6.3.8b_12 and noticed that everything was fine until I disabled Context Sensitive Fan Art. The issue is very repeatable if it is enabled and then disabled.
