What would happen if... BD on 720p?
I am thinking of moving Some of my favorite movies to Blue Ray. I researched this and am pretty sure I know HOW to do it.
My question is that all I have is a 50 plasma that does 720p (or 1080i). If I rip a BD to disk on my server then play it using the HD Extender on my 720p plasma will the server go nuts down-rezzing the picture to 720p? I know if I down-rezz a HD recording so I can play it on my SD TV in the bedroom the server jumps to 100pct and it is unwatchable, will it do the same going from 1080p to 720p?

Yep, it's really no different than watching a 1080i video when you set the resulution to a fixed 720P or try watching any HD signal via composite/svideo output (480i).

The HD100/200 will do the work. It will NOT put a strain on your server.
