Subtitles support and the HD-100?

The new subtitle support in beta 12 sounds very promising. Any plans on implementing this feature for the hd-100 as well?

Rasmus

Yes, I'd like to know this as well.

Also if someone could answer....this is ONLY available on the HD200 correct? Not on the actual sagetv software?

Does this read the subtitle tracks within mkv's?

SRT, SUB (MicroDVD or SubViewer), SSA/ASS and SAMI

In addition to that; if you're using the HD200, then SUB/IDX (VobSub) subtitles in an external file are also supported. (support is planned for the HD100 for later for this format)

Embedded Subtitles
Currently this is only supported with the HD200; but this will be expanded later to cover other parts of the platform. This is supported for all file types; but only text based subtitle formats are supported currently. We are going to expand this soon to include embedded bitmap-based subtitles as well (for BD, DVB and embedded VobSub).

I have NOT updated to the latest BETA due to WAF concerns, so maybe some (John?) can clarify for me. My HDHR Mpg files have embedded Closed Captions that are extracted by ccextractor (As we in the CC trade are all to well aware), will the new BETA read the embedded CC and display it on the HD200? do I no longer need to extract the CC for the HD200?
