5.1 Audio Vs Stereo
Newbie question here. Having difficulty getting my audio set up correctly. I'm just using the built in speakers on my Sony HDTV... no surround receiver in the mix. Problem is that any primetime programs/sports (presumably in 5.1) sounds odd... music too loud... difficult to hear dialog/voice. The mix is just all wrong. Other daytime syndicated programs sound fine. Is there a magic setting some place to tell SageTV that I only want to hear the L/R channels? This issue happens whether I'm monitoring the audio through the MB's HDMI port... or just the front speaker jack. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you have chosen to use the AC3Filter decoder that is installed with Sage you should run the ac3config.exe program that is in the SageTV directory. Make sure to set the Output format to 2/0 Stereo from the dropdown.
