Unhappy 2 MKV's I created...one shows the time length, the other doesn't

I'm trying to save some space by converting DVD's to MKV files using H.264 compression.
I'm pretty happy with the results but 1 plays just fine. the other plays fine but it always shows the length as 0:00 so if I stop, FF, or RR, it just jumps back to the beginning.

I'm not sure where to start.
anyone have any ideas????
BTW the problem file plays fine in VLC, and MPC-HC and I created them using handbrake.

What version of Handbrake are you using? That sounds like a problem with one of the old versions of the program. 0.9.3 is the latest version of Handbrake.

To correct the problem download MKVToolnix and remux the MKV with MKVmerge. That will fix it.

If you created the videos directly into the Sage Import directory (or if they were large and copied slow) then its possible that Sage tried to import them while they were being created and was unable to detect the time. Its a bug that's been around *since the dawn of time*.

Easy fix: Just move the file out of the import directory. Change the name slightly, then bring it back into the directory.
