HD200 Pixilated Image

My HD200 will show recorded video and live TV both with small little vertical pixelated lines on the screen. I would assume a decoding issue. I have had the extender output both Component and Composite video with the same result. The original video is fine when viewed on the server machine. I have upgraded to the latest beta.

Any thoughts?

I have looked around the forum and don't believe I see anyone with the same issue, however I may not be using the same terminology so if I need to search for something different, please let me know.

Check your ethernet LAN

It could be a cable or the speed of your LAN. You need to be running gigabit speed. I ran a short lan cable to my router and set up a temp tv to get it working well in the same room as my router before I strung the long cables into other rooms

You do NOT need to be running gigabit speeds. The Extender is only 10/100mb port. With that said, it can help if there are multiple HD200's on the network. Most of the time the real problem is using routers as switches rather than a separate switch. Routers tend to be the lowest form of ethernet switch and weren't designed to handle large volume streaming videos.

UPDATE

I'll repeat the issue. When playing live or recorded video on the the HD200 extender i get a pixelation issues. Audio is just dandy.

For testing purposes I dumped a recorded program on a usb drive, connected that to the extender and it had the same effects. So, its not a network issue.

All videos play fine Sage Client installed on a POS toughbook.

Here is a picture i snapped during an AT&T commercial of the effect.

I have the latest beta of Sage Server and the latest beta on the Extender.

I would try a different cable between the extender & TV, then a different TV connection, then contact SageTV support.
