"rescan existing library files"
Oh boy.. I am thinking I shouldn't have clicked on the rescan now... choice in advance settings.. The little drive icon has been there for about 24 hours and it seems to have significantly slowed the WHS machine down to the point where I am watching shows last night and they would hesitate every 30 seconds or so for about a second. Its still running this morning. I am thinking about restarting the Sage service but don't want to screw myself even more.. any ideas?

When I've gotten into this kind of trouble I've gone into settings and removed the import folders even while the update is in progress. If that works on WHS and if you can navigate your menus.
After the update icon disappears you can add them back one at a time.

I'm also stuck in an endless Rescan cycle. So far I'm going on 12 hours and I have restarted the service hoping that this would end the cycle. It did not, maybe I've even reset the process. How do I end it? I assume it's controlled by a properties setting but which one?
