Channel Scan Not Working

I just updated to 2009061701.

When trying to execute a full or update channel scan I get the following message:

Watch request failed.
REM Try to lock the tuner.

I’ve tried scanning both sources on my HDHR: 1 QAM, and 1 OTA and get the above dialog.

Any ideas?

Great -- let us know how the scanning goes now.

(Just don't sort the station list on the Remap Menu by channel number until after the next STV update. )

This bug should be fixed in the latest STV update. Let me know if you still have problems with the sort options.

Great! Look forward giving it a whirl.

BTW, I’d like to start this channel mapping process over fresh with my HDHR. I mucked around in their utility originally and changed some things, and now I want to purge all the existing scan info and start a brand new scan. Then I can re-sync my QAM stations with zap2it.

What do I need to do in order to get a clean slate ready for a new fresh scan?

You could choose the option to clear all mapped channels in Channel Setup before doing your next full scan.

I updated to V6.5.17 (Mac) and received 'No signal' on all channel. I tried a re-scan, but it found nothing. I then spooled back to the previous rev. and it started working again. Stupid I know, but I thought I'd give V6.5.17 another try, and again the tuners failed.This time however, when I went back to V6.5.9, the tuners no longer worked. When I attempt a Channel Scan on any of the 4 available tuners (I have 2 HDHomeRun's on the network) I get:

Watch Requeat Failed
Try to lock the tuner

I tested with EyeTV and all 4 tuners are working perfectly. Any ideas?

Are you still using the v6.5.17 STV update with the older version of SageTV? That's the only way I know of to get that error message. This STV update must be used with v6.5.17.
