Sage plays 2 mkv audio track simultaneously
I have ripped the movie, and stored it in a .mkv container, using DTS audio.
Whichever of the 2 tracks I try to select as Audio in Sage, doesn't make a difference.. Also it isn't using the Matroska splitter like it's supposed to.. Any suggestions ? |

It sounds like a codec issue.
Does it play fine outside of Sage? Which filters does graphedit show as being used during playback?

Both Graphedit and GSpot tells me it should go through Matroska Splitter, and the video through FFDShow and DTS throgh FFDShow and the AC3 commentary through AC3filter.
But Matroska doesn't show up when i play it though SageTV. It works fine in Media Player Classic. After messing with the sound settings, the volume control in SageTV isn't working either.. It's quite frankly pissing me off, that it has to be this cumbersome. Can i use another filter, or what can i do ? Last edited by real_per; 06-22-2009 at 02:26 PM. |

This may take some time to nail down, so try to be patient. Sadly, these codecs are not easy to get set up right. I struggled for quite some time.
I just pulled up a few of my MKVs in graphedit which I know for sure use and play back using DTS and I show no references to DTS audio and/or ffdshow for DTS audio. What do you have your audio and video settings at in Sage? Also, do you have this setting as such in your properties file? always_use_dshow_player=true Finally, do you have a lot of codecs (or any codec packs) installed? If so, I would strongly suggest removing them all and starting over, adding back each of them, one by one, as you determine you need it.
