A little confused

Hi guys,
So I decided that I need much more base knowledge of studio and sageTV in general, so I just started playing around in the original SageTV3. Maybe I am just tired and missed something, but when I add a button on the main menu, for example to shut sage down, I can't move it or edit it.

What's going on? Is there some other panel that has set the items on the main menu that I should edit?

what is its parent widget AutoArrange setting? When I've seen this (not being able to move/adjust a panel widget) it is usually because the parent widget has some auto arrange settings that govern the children placement

No, I've checked the parent widget. I'm beginning to find some of the parent widgets to move some objects that were already there, but it still won't let me edit widgets that I am adding to the menu panel.

Have you worked through the tutorials in the Studio PDF manual yet, in this case: tutorial 15, for themes? If not, you should do so before just playing around.

Yes I have. After I restarted sage, things started work for some reason, even though I was doing the exact same thing before.

Sorry for wasting your time

If you had set the widget to ignore the theme properties & it started working for you after restarting SageTV, then perhaps you just needed to reload the menu.
