OTA HD Shows - How Do I Adjust Qaulity?

How do I adjust the quality of the OTA HD I record from my ATSC tuner card attached to my outside antenna? I have several 1080i and 720p stations in the area. I only see DVD-quality options.

Thanks for any help. I have tried the manual and the stickies but I am not finding anything to help me.

Those settings don't apply to digital broadcasts (ATSC/QAM/etc.) since come already encoded.

huh? I'd say over half of all broadcasters use 1080i.... I believe only Fox and ABC use 720p as a norm.

yup, here in philly fox and abc are 720p and cbs and nbc are 1080i

i have to say that i like 720p much better than 1080i for sports and high action stuff. motion artifacts from interlacing really annoy me.

agreed... for sports, 720p>>1080i... makes me with the AFC was covered by Fox instead of CBS...
