No video on BBC HD on Mac client

I first reported this bug over 6 months ago & with each new beta release I check again but still it hasn't been fixed. As this is supposed to be the RC I was hoping that finally this bug would have been squashed but it is still present. The message that I got from support last December was

Thanks, we've reproduced the problem. We'll fix it (but it might not make it into the V6.5 release since we're almost done with that).

The DVB-S H/264 satellite TV channel BBC HD has audio but no video when I view on a Mac client. It works fine on the Windows Vista SageTV server or on an HD200 extender. I have tried on a Mac Pro, Mac Mini, MacBook, MacBook Pro.

I have had no acknowledgement of my bug submission or follow-up asking for any files or further information. Does this mean that my bug is fixed or being ignored?

I've been in contact with them over the last month with the same issue on my HD200 with the latest round of beta's, and have done some testing with them so its not forgotten.

Once this round of beta's is out the way they'll be working on it I'm sure, but I don't think the fix is round the corner.

I suspect that this is a different issue to the one with BBC HD on the HD200 which I believe only affects those programmes broadcast without an AC3 soundtrack. My wife had no problems with BBC HD & the HD200 when she gave it an intensive workout over the Wimbledon Fortnight. I had to rig up the HD200 & a screen specifically because BBC HD doesn't work on the Mac client which is her preferred method of viewing while working.

Given the fact that support reproduced this problem over 6 months ago it looks like fixing the Mac client isn't a very high priority. Which is disappointing to say the least as in all other ways SageTV is ideal for our home & I recommend it to everyone who will listen.

What version of Sage are you running?

I had no problems with BBC-HD on 6.4 and the early 6.5's. I can't remember exactly what version my problem started with.

It could be a different issue, I always thought it was the same as it has similar symptoms.

I couldn't watch Wimbledon on BBC-HD using the normal beta but it did work with some test files. As they produce lots of debugging I can't use them on a day to day basis as the PC fails to go back to sleep and I get the occasional java dump.

The latest beta is generally installed within a day or 2 of release. Currently therefore 6.5.20 but whatever was the current beta at the time of Wimbledon. I am running a Vista Ultimate system as the TV server with the HD200 & Mac Clients. BBC HD works fine on the server itself although this is not usually used for watching TV. BBC HD also works OK on the HD200 but has never worked on the Mac Clients.
