Questions about SageMC and ComSkip

The more I use these great programs, the more questions I have. let me impose on the knowledge of all you guys who have been using these programs longer than me.

A. I read that closed captions can be used in SageMC but I can't find it anywhere. After the last update, I can find where to select it in SageTV but still can't find anywhere in SageMC. It's sad that the time delay in SageTV is so long that the show has moved on about 10 seconds before the caption is displayed. The delay is so long that it becomes almost useless. I thought I must be doing something wrong in my setup, so I thought I would ask what kind of experience everyone else is having. There was a time when actors used to take pride in their enunciation , but now it seems the ones who mumbles the lowest gets the part. Maybe its my age but of course that could not be true.

B. ComSkip is a great program and I would recommend it to anyone. My question is I have an external drive that I use to keep long movies and some archived shows. Is it possible to set up a recording to save directly to the external drive (if it's on) and not the internal main drive. If I list the external drive first in the setup and it is not plugged in, will it default to the second drive? I would also like to tell ComSkip to search that drive as well as the main recording internal drive for shows to read. Now I am saving the shows to the main drive and waiting for ComSkip to finish its scan, then moving them to the external drive for storage. Got to be a better way. I have always believed in not reinventing the wheel , so I thought I would ask.

Thanks for having patience with me. I am not an adventurous person when it comes to computer software so once I get things working I don't want to mess with them. I am never sure I can get then back like the were.

With enough reading I found the answer. Went back to the Comskip web page and reread the instructions on Comskip Monitoring. Ran the setup.bat again and added the drive and directory of the ext drive. Works great!
