The new recording shouldn't have the problem, the recordings recorded by the old updates have to wait java code updated, because it's not able to handle a flag in TS stream.
if you change recording in PS format, you don't have a problem.

I have a question. Since this patch enables native m2ts playback capability does this mean that you can "playback" a ripped blu-ray like you can on the HD100/200?

This has nothing to do with the extenders, which have supported ripped Blu-rays for a while.

You've always (at least in the recent past) been able to play m2ts files in Sage but you needed to BYOD[emuxer].

This update makes it easier because you don't need to do that.

EPG not displaying current information

Hi

I've used this update to fix the fact that the standard sagetv was unable to pick up the new channels after the digital switchover in the uk (caradon)

It now picks up most channels (radio channels don't work although it found them, shame the missus wants her smooth FM)

However the channel numbering is shall we say interesting and the Free To Air EPG is displaying either very little or no data for today / tomorrow but does appear to have some later in the week.

I'm on Win7 x64 with Hauppauage NOVA T 500 Tuners

I've also installed the shark codec pack which had fixed any play back issues before i tackled the tuners.

I'm trying really hard not to get too excited here, but does this mean that full PC clients can play back a Blu-ray folder structure with this patch?

Not unless there's something Qian isn't telling us. It is the first step to that though.

Once m2ts support is hammered out they just need to parse the playlist file in the BDMV and translate it into something that their source filter can understand for multiple files (something that already works for rec tv when it's spread across multiple segments).

Oh well. I was ripping my BD's to MKVs, but it's just so darn cumbersome I stopped. Plus, it's so frustraiting going through each movie's subtitles and making corrections.

I installed "RecordingNative07" and when I try to tune a channel that worked with "RecordingNative06" the SageTV window disappears. I checked Windows Task Manager and it shows that SageTV is still running. I clicked on SageTV and then clicked "End Process" but SageTV does not stop running. My only option is to reboot my computer.

Edit: Problem occurs when using "Overlay". If I use "EVR" this problem does not occur.

Well my channel; detection problem is solved on the digital tuner with Win 7 x64.
When I first tried these patcvhes I just tried to manually add the channels. This made no change. So I deleted the video source and then reenabled it. Doing a channel scan found all of the digital channels!
Gotta hand it to the team at Sage!

still missing some channels

Hi

Although much improved now finding 77 channels rather than approx 15 it is still not finding a lot of channels in particular ITV.

I'm using Terrestrial Freeview on the UK\South West\Caradon Transmitter

Hauppauge NOVA T 500 tuners

I just tried Update 7 of the files. Scanning for QAM results in no channels for me.
I had QAM_FRQ_CACHE.ENABLE file so it should use what I had already setup and known to work. I also had a AverMedia M780 PCIe Digital Video Capture 2-0-QAM.frq file of my actual working QAM channels. But this file gets nuked when a re-scan happens.

I did this with a new clean Sage.properties file.

Native.log
also attached.

Quick question

Is this recording patch going to allow us to have the radio channels on DVB-T & DVB-S in the UK, would be great if it did.

Ive never understood why they dont work its just audio, should be easier to make work.

Currently, with this patch, the DVB radio channels are found by the scan but we still can't tune them to listen using the remaining version 6.6 code.

I would think that once the next full beta is released we will be able to do that.

I think you guys are missing the point of my question. Extenders could previously playback a ripped blu-ray title on a hard drive by parsing the directory structures, finding the largest m2ts files, and playing back the m2ts file without having to separate out the specific m2ts file you want to play.

Now that clients (i.e. not extenders) can also natively play m2ts files does the client do the same operation as the extender and pick out the correct m2ts file to play? I suppose the easiest way to answer this is to just try it myself.

As a side question, does extender playback only find the largest m2ts file? or is it smart enough to "stitch multiple" m2ts files together if the movie is spread out among several m2ts files?

How are extenders doing this now? And can we at least have the extender capability for client playback as well?

when trying to playback recordings made with my hd-pvr on my tv, the screen will go black every second like the handshake between the tv and the pc is reestablishing or the aspect ration is being reset.

After installing the Recording patch on Windows 7 64 bit. Sage is no longer able to load the hd tuners. When I replace the DShoeCapture.dll and DshowPlayer.dll the cards are able to load into Sage.
