Recording Failed with Update 8

I received two messages saying "digital tuner stopped producing data while recording ...". These occurred at the beginning of the recording. A third message saying that the recording failed was generated an hour later.

Native log and Sage message log are attached. I did not have MPEGDEMUX log enabled during that time.

No Signal problem again on two clear QAM channels

I am getting the "No Signal" message again. This time it is on channels 135-11 and 135-16. This was with update 9 installed.

I reverted to update 7 which had previously worked on all channels but still getting No Signal on these two channels.

still missing channels

Still missing ITV, ITV2 and FIVE (plus not sure how many others)

These are all available in WinMC or hauppauge WinTV so it's not the tuners.

Do you pick up a right region for scan?
enable native.log by creating a file NATIVE_LOG.ENABLE in sagetv dierctory, rescan channel, post native.log. the current native log doesn't have all messages.

It's a newer version 3.0.0.34, fixed a broken code for QAM channel "phy-0-nn", and will be in the next update shortly.

Also, one other suggestion. For the update, can you list which files need to be copied to non-server clients, and which don't? Will help me as I've been installing these updates on both my server AND my clients.

The QAM tuner lost signal while recording The Office and kept killing the service every few minutes until the show was over. This made Swiss cheese out of Fringe and CSI This is the second Thu that it happened.

Qian,

I installed the new TSSplitter3.0.ax and it solved the No Signal problem. The QAM channels also tune much faster now which is a tremendous improvement.

Thanks,
Timmy

I have a problem.

I was using SageTV with update 7 with no problems. Then all of a sudden, I lost sound on all channels. I can have sound again if I go into the "Audio language" menu and select another language, then select the first language again (I get sound with all languages). Problems are:

- I need to do that each time I tune into a channel. If I don't, no sound.
- Some channels don't have an "Audio language" menu (probably because there is only one). Therefore, on these channels I don't get any sound and that's all, no workaround.

I get the problem on HD (E-AC3) and SD (AC3) channels. I use ffdshow as audio decoder. ffdshow audio decoder is successfully loaded even when I don't have sound.

Update 9 doesn't seem to solve anything.

Native log (update 9) is attached. In this log I tune into a channel and do nothing for approx. 1 minute (consequently I have no sound during this minute). Then I switch audio languages to have audio.

to go along with that, what is determined to be the primary audio stream. I've noticed lately that my local PBS station it seems to end up on the alternate audio stream. Not serious, so i haven't really gone in looking yet, so I'm not sure if it's the broadcast or the playback yet. Just thought I'd point out the strangeness.

audio language, stream bit rate if two audio tracks are the same language.
and the audio type "normal, clean effects (silence), hearing impaired, visually impaired commentary"

So does it prefer visually impaired over normal? because that is what I'm getting.

no, I think there is something wrong there, could you dump raw stream data?

I was redirected to this thread because I'm trying to solve an audio drift problem. I have no clue what this "native patch" does; I'm just installing it because someone mentioned it solved their audio drift problem, and I'm doing anything I can at this point.

I tried installing update 9 and got an error when I ran TSSplitter3.0_install.bat:

LoadLibrary("TSSplitter2.0.ax") failed - This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
