Register Placeshifter issue...

I've got the key but the instructions say there should be a register option in my start menu...which there isn't...I've emailed them 2x with no response...Anyone heard of this issue?

Are you looking on the SageTV server for the register option? The server is where Placeshifter licenses are registered, as covered in Appendix N of the SageTV PDF manual.

And, if you haven't heard from SageTV after giving them 72 hours to respond, that usually means they did not get your email or you did not get their reply. Check your spam filters; a lack of reply could mean their reply is sitting in your spam folder.

Below is copied from the email that was sent with my key for placeshifter...Seems simple enough...But the option for "Register SageTV Media extender or Placeshifter" does not exist...So I'm confused with what you're saying now...Is this email incorrect?


To register your Media Extender or Placeshifter license key with SageTV on Windows go to the Start Menu->Programs->SageTV->Register SageTV Media Extender or Placeshifter License

The email tells you the program to use. You need to do this on your SageTV server PC, not on the PC where Placeshifter is installed.
