Getting Recorded TV shows to show up in Video Library

I have set up a task in SJQ to compress the kids shows that I record and move them to a specific folder - for example all Dora shows are compressed to Divx and moved to the \Kids\Dora folder. In the Dora folder I also have other files that were not recorded by Sage - they were DVD rips or from TiVo or MCE.

The files from Sage do not show up in the folder view of my Video Library - just the "other" files show up in this view. I believe that is the correct behaviour for Sage but that is not what I want in this instance - how do I get them to show up in the library in addition to, or instead of, Recorded TV? I guess I could try to rename them so that wiz.bin can no longer identify them but there must be a better way than that?

Unless you find something in the customizations forum, you already posted your own answer:

You need to remove the ID number from the filename to make them unrecognizable to SageTV. You will lose the detailed info about the recording, of course.

OK - I was hoping for a way that they would be able to appear in both Rcorded TV and the Video Library but from what youa re saying that isn't possible.

No, not without customizing the STV to include recordings with the imported videos.

You using default or sagemc? It would be very easy to modify video library to include tv and videos as said by Andy.

Only take one or two changes to the sagemc stv. Hit me up in an pm with your email address and I can shoot one over for you to try.
