New HD200 Wireless Adaptor issues-RESOLVED

The HD200 ENUWI-N Wireless Adaptor still appears to have issues. When the support was first released I was able to connect to my wireless G network and use the adaptor with the firmware that was released on 8/14/09. I stopped using the adaptor because I saw some studdering when I used my network a lot. I now have an N Wireless network so I tried using the Adaptor again with the HD200. I actually have 2 Adaptors and they both work fine with my notebook computer on my N network. The first issue I saw with the HD200 was that I did not see any way to select my N network. The SSID still shows my G network but it also shows not connected. I cannot get it to connect to my G network or even show available SSIDs (usually 4-6 show up but only 2 are mine). I have shut down the N wireless network in case it was creating interference. I am now using the 20090903 firmware, which I do not know if I ever used it in wireless mode. I have tried both adaptors on both USB ports but see no difference.

Is anyone using the ENUWI-N Wireless Adaptor with the 20090903 firmware?

Has anyone changed the SSID once the HD200 has been configured? If so, where do you see the list of available SSIDs. I believe it should be in the WiFi options but I just see an empty list.

New suggestions welcome.

No clear cut answers about what caused the issues. It appears that the best thing to do is just pull the plug and then reconnect. While working with support yesterday, the first thing they wanted was logs. While following the instructions to enable logging I had to pull the plug and reconnect. When the HD200 came back up, it connected to my G network and displayed other networks. I then selected my N and entered security code and it failed to connect. I tried a second time with the same results. I then gave up assuming that the HD200 did not support the security I was using. Support verified that the security was supported. Support then wanted to to try something else, so when I switched from wired to wireless, the HD200 showed that it was connected to my N network. I suspect that the timeout value used by the HD200 may be too short. I would recommend that if the HD200 times out, just pull the plug and then retry. Everything appears to be working properly, but one of the commands support gave me to try shows "keyn Bit Rates:54 Mb/s". Support thinks this value is incorrect. I have not seen any studdering with the N network. My notebook shows the N network at 270.0 Mbps.

Just saw your posting about trying to get the ENUWI-N to work on your HD200. Have you had any success getting it to work? I'm thinking of buying the adapter, but have been reading about problems, so thought I would check some more.

The wireless N connection has worked fine since I got it to connect the first time. As I stated in post 3, even if it says it timed out, don't believe it. Just power off and then reconnect and it will probably connect properly. I only use the wireless N connection now.

Got mine to work by using a shorter WPA key. _demo_ sent me a tweaked firmware to address the longer (more secure) hex key issue. I haven't gotten around to flashing my HD200 yet though.
